Okay, Seoul seemed really doable.
Signs (more or less) in English. Cars on the right side of the road. A reasonable exchange rate.
I’ve been in Tokyo three hours and already I’m lost. First, the Japanese drive on the left side of the road. Second, I speak NO Japanese. Third, I’ll never get the bowing thing right. Fourth, I just gave $300 U.S. dollars to a lovely bank clerk only to receive about 2 yen, which should pay for two train tickets and one cab ride. Lastly, did I mention I speak no Japanese. Most signs ARE not translated. Fortunately, we’ll be escorted most of the time, but this should be interesting. Hopefully, I remember what the Brits had painted in LARGE signs on the road — LOOK RIGHT.
Oh, I’ll post the rest of my pictures from Seoul tonight. I’m a little behind, but had lunches, dinners, and had to pack.
