Well, I’m out.

I didn’t go Tuesday and I missed my monthly doctor visit and my blood test results.  I’ll pick those up and my leisure.  Hopefully my bad cholesterol (since I haven’t had any, really) is down.  But who knows.

But, I’m still losing.  I’m now at a not quite svelte 168, and those size twelve pants now have a little give.  And after one month, I’ve lost five inches from my waist.

So, I’ve been preparing my own meals,  Chicken and Lentils, Mixed Vegetable Curry — mixing in some Lean Cuisine and Whole Foods prepared meals.  And it’s all very good.  It’s fine.  The food tastes like foods tastes — and it’s good to have textures back as well — not to mention fiber.

It’s hard — calorie counting, but I’ve managed to keep my daily count around 850.  The only things missing from my diet really — are those refined carbohydrates I love so much, white flour and white sugar — and my all time favorite — real butter.  Those three combined used to make up much of my diet — bread and butter, bread and cheese, pasta and butter, pasta and cheese — you get the picture.

Adam swears our illustrious governor once said, "White flour and white sugar equals white death."  I can’t find a reference to it anywhere, but if he said it — he’s probably right.

So I poured my slightly smaller self into my now slightly baggy interview suit and set out for another interview today.  Everyone’s lovely — but so far that hasn’t equaled one job offer — so I’m keeping my eyes open.

Am off to eat a very vegetably dinner.
